One night when skies began to sink,

I walked along where sand met sea.

Watched clouds melt like bubbles in a soft drink.

To clear my head, alone to be,

I had to leave, I had to think...

Then suddenly, He came to visit me.

—Walk with me

—Why me?

—Trust me, and you’ll see.

Hand in hand, we talked for hours.

Sat underneath sweet-shady bowers,

And He told me that tomorrow,

He would wait by the flowers.

Day-rise, new mold,

Window-wide, coffee hot,

Birds swinging, blankets cold,

I met Him at the same spot.

On the edge where sand meets sea,

On the brink where life feels free,

He told me that He loved me.

And I believed Him.
