A Poem by Emily Barrus

The sun peeked out 

for the briefest of moments today

the land cast in a beautiful

golden light 

hope hummed

deep within me

the simplest of things

does the heart good.

Emily Barrus is a writer who lives in Massachusetts. She considers New England one of her favorite corners of the world teeming with history, which is one of her passions. She loves traveling, reading and enjoying God's creation. She is the author of Breathe, her debut poetry collection self-published on Amazon, as well as, God's Got This, a devotional also available on Amazon. She aspires to be a full-time writer. She has found healing through writing and seeks to be an encouragement to whomever reads the words God has given her.
