Doubt is a Chrysalis

A Poem by Amanda Nowlin
Doubt is a chrysalis
Dark as a tomb
Bound by a shell
Can't breath, can't move
But something is happening
As the walls press in tight
And enzymes attack all
She once thought right
Breaking down what she was
Building something unseen
Until the light cracks it open
And Faith spreads her wings
